Abortion is out of the shadows in Mexico City (World)
Since May, over 3,400 women have traveled from parts all over North and South America to receive legal abortions at one of the 14 hospitals in Mexico City. The rest of Mexico still outlaws legal abortion, but Mexico City has recently made it accessible to women of all ages to receive legal abortions. I think this is very good for Mexico City and should be considered in all other parts of South America. So many unwanted children are born into poverty stricken homes that lack the resources to raise a child. With diseases frequently occurring and many children dying at young ages because they lack medicine and hospital care, this new abortion policy will limit these cases and situations. In a perfect world couples would use protection or not have sex if they didn’t want a child, but that is just not realistic. Using this legal abortion policy is quite possibly the next best solution.
